Facebook maybe giving marketers a gift in an upcoming update to the Timeline news feed. According to Inside Facebook, the current 90×90 pixel link preview area will jump to 154 x 154.
The size upgrade is pretty dramatic:
Making links more prevalent is always good for those of us trying to engage people with content links on Facebook. It will be interesting how companies and marketers use this new real estate. It appears as though the new space will allow not only a larger image preview of the link, but more room for text as well. Since photos and videos are often used to gain higher engagement on Facebook posts, this could be a welcome change for businesses.
