Is it Possible to be Too Hot to Refuel a Car?

For those of you who haven’t read In a Sun Burned Country, here’s yet another reason not to want to live in the Australian outback.

It was recently so hot there that service stations stopped selling gasoline.  Why you might ask?  Well, because it was so hot that the fuel was vaporizing before it could be pumped.  Now that’s hot.  Full story from Oodnatta, AU here.  BTW, if you don’t remember your Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion equation from science class, just multiply by 2.46 and you’ll be close.
